LET HCS HELP ASSIST YOU WITH THE PAYMENT OPTIONS FOR HOME HEALTHCARE.

HCS Home Care will work with you and your parent, spouse or other loved one to create an excellent and affordable home care plan that meets their needs. A free initial consultation will allow us to help you navigate the options for covering the costs of care. In addition, we:

  • Assist with identifying options available to the patient or family
  • Aid with understanding insurance eligibility, benefits and coverage terms.
  • Help eligible families apply for private insurance claims and/or claims to the Veterans Affairs Board.

Hourly, Daily or Overnight Billing Options

Personal home care is billed at an hourly rate. This arrangement works especially well for clients who need intermittent care and remain independent most of the time. In live-in care situations, a daily rate applies. When around-the-clock assistance is required, a daily rate applies. We also offer overnight rates for situations in which a personal caregiver is needed to ensure the safety and security of an individual who may get up frequently during the night or wander because of dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. In cases when hands-on care and oversight must be delivered or available at a moment’s notice around the clock, 2 shifts of 12 hours each can be arranged.

Rates vary depending on several factors—for example, whether the in-home services required are skilled nursing care or non-medical custodial care, the types of services required, and the frequency with which care is needed.

Payment and Financing Options:

Long Term Care Insurance–   These are insurance policies will cover some if not all of the care you are looking for.  With so many different policies and peoples different financial situations, each persons policy is unique in its own way.  Some may have an elimination period of 0, 30, 60 or 90 days that the patient is responsible for.  Some plans will pay 80% of the amount billed and some will pay the entire amount.  We will help initiate the plan and see what the patient is entitled to at no charge.  This is a difficult time and we try to make it as easy as possible for the family or patient.

VA Benefits–  This is available to Veterans and Spouses.  VA Benefits have to be approved and a set amount is given each month for services that a patient may need.   This type of veterans benefit requires documentation from a doctor and is calculated using a complex rating system based on how disabled your loved one is. Many people become daunted by the complexity of the qualification process, but once veterans benefits are established they can be extensive and continue until the end of life.

Reverse Mortgage or Home Equity Line–  As each person’s financial situation is unique, we are unable to assist in this process.

Personal Banking or Credit Cards–  We bill the families weekly and they can pay with credit card or personal check or bank transfer.
